A paparazzi crush occurred outside hip NYC hotspot The Waverly Inn on Wednesday for ... Bill Maher?! That's photographically incorrect!


While the 51-year-old talk show host stood outside in a flashbulb frenzy, magazine publisher pal, Jason Binn, joked, "Bill hired all these photographers so he could look like a celebrity." Did he graduate from the Heidi Montag School of Fame?!

Turns out the photogs were staking out Jessica Simpson, who was also inside the trendy boite owned by Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter. Say cheese!

Bill Maher is one of the few celebrities (like his policies or not, and if you actually listen to what he's got to say rather than the few quotes that are reported and taken on out context) who actually matters in the big picture.
