Britney Spears -- Terrierist

Britney Spears sucks, at least according to the Humane Society.

H.S. honchos are pissed off after reading that Spears went to a pet store in fancy Bel Air, Calif., and dropped three grand on a Yorkshire Terrier. The Humane Society has been dogging pet stores, claiming many of the pups come from puppy mills.

H.S. is also really upset that Spears spent only 30 minutes before sealing the deal -- "Choosing a dog is a major lifestyle decision that should not be taken lightly." Apparently, the Humane Society thinks Brit might pull a Paris -- as in getting bored (after all, she does have ADD) and jettisoning one pooch for another.

47. #15 is right on....it's a dog. It will outgrow it's cute puppy phase. It will need love, attention, and someone to care for it. It is not a fashion accessory!

48. These irresponsible celebs will quit buying puppies if the puppy mills can be shut down. They (celebs) won't have many dogs because they won't dare set foot in the humane society to adopt a dog or other animal. Shutting down the puppy mills would solve a lot of problems and protect a lot of animals from these irresponsible freaks.

49. Well, it looks like ol' dumbass britney's still making bad decisions. I'm sure she walked into the pet store, and said something like "um, like, that little doggie, he's so, like, cute!" Being a barely functioning illiterate, she didn't bother to check up on this kind of dog & find out that 1) this kind of terrier DOES NOT cost $3,000; you can find championship bloodline terriers at 1/3 the cost of what she paid, and 2) these little dogs are just like her: attention whores. They need attention all the time, and don't do well being left alone. Also, they sometimes don't get along well with kids. Also, these dogs are not a fashion accessory, to be carried around like a pack of smokes. She'll find this out soon enough. By the way, nice pink wig. Like I said, attention whore.

Yep, ol' dumbass britney is still making bad decisions. I just heard her new "single", and it's total garbage; sugarry pop crap, totally studio effects & overdubbing. I'm surprised that any record company would want to get behind it. She's insulting her fans on her website by suggesting that they pick the next title to her album; one of the suggested titles is "what if the jokes on you"; brilliant, you moron. She's overspending for things, and is buying things like there's no tomorrow. She just put her home she bought barely 4 months ago back on the market to sell it, and is living in a hotel. She's blown off her family, and basically has no friends she can count on. She's drinking again, and parties nightly like she some sort of Paris Hilton clone. She's acting so mentally erratic & delusional that her ex-husband (who is a wanna be rapper, pretend pimp & total leech) looks stable by comparison. My suggestion is for her to leave Hollywood for the next 2-3 years, get some perspective, get back in shape, and then make decisions about what she wants to do with her life.

50. She bought a dog. Get over it. It shouldn't be her who gets spotlighted, it ought to be the store selling her it. Seems like anybody these days loves to get on Britney's publicity trail.

52. Good job Humane Society. I support contacting this girl and giving her the education she desperately needs as a dog owner. In general, the more pressure on an owner to do the right thing, the more likely an unfit owner will surrender the dog rather that be bothered. It gets old to have officers knocking on your door repeatedly to do welfare checks. She will either learn proper care or have a fit and give the pup to someone who cares. Those of you who say it's no big deal to buy a dog are really scary people.

53. What kind of idiot would sell her a dog. She don't even take care of her kids. She will leave that dog all by itself and go out a get trashed. Just like she leaves her kids with friends, relatives and/or a nanny just to go out and party. She's an unfit mother and an unfit dog owner. Hey, what happended to the last dog she had? Oh, yea it's probably dead!

Why come here to TMZ knowing it is a gossip site if it bothers you so? From the information in your post you very clearly read the articles and post on the site yourself. A post I don't agree with at all. Lohan going to a night club after rehab was on every news venue not just TMZ. If you don't like an article scroll on by it, That is with in your control just as not clicking into TMZ at all also is. These sites are not the (excuse) reason young celebs are messed up, Their own choices are.

55. I am sick and tired of celebs buying from pet stores. It is like telling the public that this is ok. Don't they know what a puppymill is? About 98% of all dogs sold at pet stores come from puppymills. Just yahoo what a puppymill is and you will NEVER buy from a pet store again!

56. These pet store and website puppies ALL come come horrible, abusive, low rent, hillbilly PUPPY MILLS

They are riddled with health and behavior problems

Educated people know this, ands they don't buy these defective dogs

Just Google "puppy mills" and you can find videos and photos of where these puppy mill puppies come from

Total rip off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a shame this adult cannot get the attention she craves with her talent.

58. Pets are not accessories! They are not props for cute photo's. They are not security blankets! They are a time consuming responsibility and loving commitment.

59. She had to go to a pet shop because no responsible breeder would sell a dog to her. Period... And I bet most rescues wouldn't either.

60. I agree with Lisa 15. The celebs have a rightto ahve a pet adntheir pets are well taken care off ,but whenthe show off a pet as the latest accessory, well ,I cna tell you Yorkie's ar ejumping inthemarket now. yorkies are goingtobe breed at rapid speed now and abandoned by pet ownbers in a year. Sort of like Dalmations after 101 Dalmations was released. I just wish that people would think about pets and not follwo celebs.
paris could be a spoakeswoamnfor pets rights. anothe rthing she could do. Isaid could do . Could. Doing and could do are totally different. .
