Britney Spears -- Terrierist

Britney Spears sucks, at least according to the Humane Society.

H.S. honchos are pissed off after reading that Spears went to a pet store in fancy Bel Air, Calif., and dropped three grand on a Yorkshire Terrier. The Humane Society has been dogging pet stores, claiming many of the pups come from puppy mills.

H.S. is also really upset that Spears spent only 30 minutes before sealing the deal -- "Choosing a dog is a major lifestyle decision that should not be taken lightly." Apparently, the Humane Society thinks Brit might pull a Paris -- as in getting bored (after all, she does have ADD) and jettisoning one pooch for another.

16. Why get a dog when you can't even handle your own children... and didn't she have a rat dog not too long ago... where is the concern for where that dog is buried Human Society?

Machelle- THAT IS AN AWESOME IDEA!

TMZ once a month should have a poll for which celebrity shouldn't be recognized at all on... they did it for a week about Parisite. Who ever gets the most votes should be shunned off the site for a month...

Perhaps it will stop "rewarding" this deplorable behavior from Hollywood's Harlots (yeah you britany, nicole, paris and friends)

17. I always cringe when I see a dog purchased by the status conscientous folks. I have received/rescued several pugs from these people (especially after the the release of the Men in Black movies). Sadly many dogs, through the "help" of breeders, do have special needs. Several of the dogs I have rescued (the majority from the wealthy) have been abused, either by neglect which comes after the "thrill" of owning them has worn out. They come to me obese, with ear and tooth infections, poor coat quality and psychologically damaged from being totally ignored (or cast off).

To many they are just a dog, but the reasons for getting a pet and the after-purchase care, or lack there of, shows much about the owner's character.

Buying an animal, "just because," or, "their cute," or because they are portrayed in a movie causes harm to the animal plus expense to the public.

18. WooHa23 are you saying the Humane Society are losers? Have any of yall seen pictures or heard stories of puppy mills? All these richy, rich people buying dogs for the publicy is ludicrous!
I raise Yorkies in my home, and everyone sleeps on the bed. I would NEVER buy any puppy from a store, parking lot or anywhere but from a place that I can see how they are raised. Check out the puppymillrescue.com and see if yall dont see the Humane Society's views.

19. Opps.....she did it again. When will this girl show some responsibility! First of all, why is she taking the poor little dog to the gym/dance studio? No place for a scared little puppy who's just been taken away from it's mother! Second, does she not realize that these types of dogs are scared and need not be around young kids. I have my second yorkie (that did not come from a pet store or kennel) and I know this for a fact. These so-called 'stars' think these dogs are simply accessories, and nothing more. Go to the local dog pound and rescue a dog that otherwise wouldn't have a chance. I really think that when people purchase a pet from a pet store, that they think they are getting quality, healthier pets! That's not the case. Check out a puppy mill site - StopPuppyMills.org - and see for yourself where these cute little dogs come from. The dog will be left to be taken care of by the nanny or housekeeper when it's not so little and cute - which may not be a bad thing!

20. Stephanie Shain of the Humane Society can stick it where the sun doesn't shine. Buying a dog is a major life decision?? Give me a break. Buying dog is buying a dog, it's not a farging marriage proposal. So Shain ads herself to the list of Britney bashers.

24. A dog isn`t an accesory. It`s a living creature, and should be treated, well, with care. How many dogs have we all seen Britney buy in the past, hmm, five years? I`m guessing a straight up ten puppys all belonging to Brit Brit that we`ve never seen in public. It`s kinda sad because I don`t think ANY of these young hollywood stars would even care if their baby puppy ran away. Britney wouldn`t care if her baby ran away. Maybe she would, that`s mean.

I have a Yorkie puppy, and they demand the most care out of any of the dogs I have owned. [ive only owned two, lol] and they need to be fed, washed, walked, brushed everyday, and looked after. They take utmost responsibility and you MUST have that to take care of the dog. Sure, a miniskirt might look cute on the Yorkie, but cuteness isn`t going to make up for the fact the dog needs its shots and to be sparyed/neutered. As cute as the dogs are, they are NOT playthings, and if you aren`t going to take care of your pet, then it shouldn`t be yours.

25. I don't care what Brittany does in her own little world, we all have issues. WHat I do care about is that little Yorkie, As a mother of a Yorkie, they are very very delicate and sensative. They should not be around babies or toddlers! Since I have purchased mine froma pet store, I have since learned of his past and yes he did come from a puppy mill I have since become a big advocate to do what I can to shut them down. Maybe she would be good to it, but unlike myself hopefully she could use her star power to bring the reality of the unhuman acts of puppy mills and brokers! That would be a great start for her to bring her own self esteem up!

26. What ever happened to Bit-Bit?

27. I agree with the Humane Society - most puppies found in pet stores come from God-awful puppymills (if you don't know what one is - google it and be sickened). After being in animal rescue/fostering for 14 years, rescuing dogs from these hideous breeding farms (most of the poor older dogs have been so abused, overbred, isolated, undernourished that they have to be put down humanely) I will again remind people - PLEASE do not give your money to pet stores!!! There are pets in shelters and in foster homes all over - if you want a pure-breed, contact a pure-breed rescue organization and give an abandoned dog a second chance at a good life!

28. She isn't fit to take care of a dog, a child, or herself. The girl needs major help. Hey Brit, call 911 and get some help.

29. Hey # 15, Lisa -- You just need to Shut the F*** UP! I'd love to stroll through your home and tell you what I approve of and what I don't. Narcisstic bitch!

30. First of all. Britney seriously has everything but is ONE LONELY LONELY PERSON! She married KFED and everyone bashed him. He's a guy and he can do whatever he wants and it's all good. Britney goes out and she's abadoning her children. ON THE FLIPSIDE> This girl runs off to buy a $$$$$ Expensive Dog and carries it around, but yet she can't even carry her OWN CHILDREN!!!
I Don't blame her mother for caring for the grandchildren and their care....maybe she should thought of that when she was advertising her daughter for the MICKEY MOUSE CLUB!

We all have drama, they just have money!!!!
